Especially if there are kids involved.

Let’s get one thing straight, divorce is not a game to be played between adversaries. As much as you might want to “win” (however you describe that), it’s an adult action that the children should be kept out of.

Certainly you can talk with your children about getting divorced AND reinforce the fact that you love them, they should NOT be put in the middle of anything. The adults need to act like adults and deal with the issues in the most productive way possible.

Do not pry for information on what your spouse may or may not be doing. Your kids are not your spies to be gathering information. Would you appreciate it if your spouse was pestering your kids for information about your new life? No, you likely wouldn’t appreciate that. So, don’t do it to them.
